We spent four days here and really enjoyed our stay. Very remote feeling but you are less than 3 miles from the University and town. The shower, bath and laundry facilities are clean and functioning but old and worn. Utilities at the sites we saw were installed and working properly. Most of the sites require some leveling of your rig. Wi-Fi is free at the store/office along with very good and very cheap coffee! The staff were very friendly and helpful and escort you to your site. I would like to get in a "plug" for the Flagstaff RV Service Center near the mall north of town. We had a water line problem and these folks helped us out, not even charging for some small parts we needed.

It was a bit difficult to find the campsites in this park. Follow the signs for the Arena and you'll get there. The park also offers primitive camping for $10.00 per night. I saw what appeared to be these sites near the day use park and none looked capable of handling even a pop-up camper. There are seven total sites with full hook-ups, one occupied by the campground host. These are gravel, perpendicular back-ins and a bit tough to get in. But once in you'll find a beautiful smooth concrete patio with picnic tables and a great view. Despite what is noted in earlier reviews, each of these sites has 20, 30 and 50amp electric service, water and sewer. The sites are adjacent to a rodeo arena and the host said he could hook up "one or two" units at the arena with 20amp service and water. I examined this and you would need very long utility cords and hoses and the sites would be unlevel. There are no restrooms at the campground but while I was there the arena restrooms were open and clean. No showers. The host said that the hook-up sites fill up with park volunteers for the winter season from October until around May. I arrived to find only two sites available. Also note that the park is very close to Phoenix International Raceway.

We found this campground the same as described by others and have no complaints. It is a short walk to the hotel and casino. Took our computer to the hotel and used the free Wi-Fi there. Received discount coupons that got us a nice full breakfast for $5.00 each. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It is tough to give a low score to such a beautiful location but, as mentioned before, the hook-up sites, #'s 1-14 are incredibly tight and the middle ones are also very uneven. Try to get sites 1-3 or 12-14 as the ones on the ends seemed to be more level. If you are willing to dry camp, there are outstanding non-hook-up sites in this park.

This is not much more than a gravel lot with hook-ups. Spaces are pull through but tight and would be extremely difficult to maneuver if it filled up. All that being said the couple that manage the place were wonderful, helped us get in our space after a long, tiring day. As an overnight stop this was a perfect, no-thrills place to be. The manager did tell us that they expect to be very busy with longer term residents in the future as construction workers for a pipeline will be coming into the area soon.

Park as described in other reviews, well maintained, lush grass, level sites. Nice nine hole golf course nearby and a lengthy paved bike trail all the way to the Chief Joseph Dam. If you bring your bikes be sure to have tire liners and/or slime tubes as goatheads are plentiful even on the pavement and they will flatten a tire. This is a popular campground for people fishing. Many of the sites have no utilities. My lower rating is because Washington State Parks desperately needs to put in a reservation system here. I arrived on a Monday morning in May and claimed the next to last site with electric and water. The entire stay I was constantly asked by people "are you leaving?" and was dogged the morning I began to break camp with a motorhome blocking the campground road in order to claim my site. Not the park's fault, but the waiting people were almost hostile when they didn't think I was getting out fast enough. It was 10 AM and checkout is at 1 PM! If this place is full the campground at the boat ramps in Bridgeport is very nice but not much shade.

Most of the good sites in this park have no utilities at all. There is a newer loop with very modern hookups but no shade. We camped in a small row of utility sites in the older, shady section. Utility sites here were all gravel, uneven and our site (the only one left to reserve) was downhill from the sewer hook up. It was number 36, try to avoid that one. Beautiful area, great, inexpensive nine hole golf course adjacent. We will return but would opt for the resort campground next door, Sun Lakes Resort.
